ELANGENI COLLEGE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

All former students of Elangeni College {previously known as Sivananda College} who have obtained Certificates or Diplomas form part of the Elangeni College Alumni Association. This includes students who've completed their training at any of the pre-merger institutions. The Alumni Association of Elangeni College for FET recognizes our responsibility and duty to assist current students and Alumni. The Alumni recognizes the important role it has to play in the life of the institution and commits itself to promoting the interests of Elangeni College for FET in the pursuit of those principles and objectives outlined in their Constitution. 

These associations often organize social events, contribute to the college newsletters or magazines, and raise funds for the organization. Additionally, they support new alumni, and provide a forum to form new friendships and business relationships with people of similar background. PURPOSE

The purpose of the Association is to create a desire amongst previous students and members of the Elangeni College Alumni Association, to identify themselves with the College, to generate and sustain interest and participation in the affairs of their alma mater, to stimulate a wish to contribute to the developments of the College and the promotion of its name and reputation, thereby reinvesting in their community. 

OBJECTIVES

• Develop and maintain relationships between past students and the College.
• Protect and maintain the rights of past students and the Alumni Exco.
• Maintain communication between the College and its stakeholders.
• Motivate current students.
• Promote the College within industries and communities.
• Improve the delivery standard of the College through participative information sharing.

Opening doors – Your association with the Elangeni College will open many doors for you because of the esteemed position held by the College within the community, the greater society and the rest of the world.
A source of contacts – Elangeni College has alumni members all over the country and the rest of the world. Many of our alumni members are leaders in their respective fields. By participating and contributing towards the alumni activities, members have the potential to liaise and stay in contact with these individuals.
Course Information– Alumni members will obtain valuable information on courses offered by the College (including short courses, enrichment and part time programmes).
