A staff member from Filton College, a college partner in the UK, Stephanie Root and her son, Richard, participated in the Bristol Half Marathon in order to raise funds for the Elangeni College Financial Aid Fund. Read more here.

The Annual Diploma & Awards Ceremony took place on 22 August 2009. The college top achievers for all programes, as well as diploma recipients attended this prestigous function, at the Pinetown Campus Hall.

Elangeni College is proud to announce that it has received two new campuses from the Department of Education. The KZN MEC for Education, Ms Ina Cronje, handed over the keys to the College Rector, Mr Max Mbili during March 2009. It is hoped that the buildings will be completed later in 2009 with programmes starting in 2010. The campuses are:

• Inanda Campus
• KwaDabeka Campus

Elangeni College for FET has become the first educational institution in the province as well as in the country to be certified with the world renowned ISO 9001: 2000 for Quality Management and OHSAS 18001:2007 for Occupational Healthy and Safety Management at the same time (dual certification).
The accrediting body is the South African Bureau of Standards [SABS].
